About The Cannery

The Arts Council is spearheading the ongoing restoration of what was known as the Olde Cannery Arts Center, which is located at 61 Enota St. Dahlonega, Georgia, next to the Old Jail.Originally constructed by the WPC in the 1940's, the building was first used as a community cannery, then as a Thrift Store. In 2003 the Dahlonega Arts Council took responsibility for the structure.

The DAC exists to foster and promote the arts in Dahlonega/Lumpkin County. We have been named as the official arts council by both local governments.
Restoration of the Olde Cannery Arts Center facility and rentals of the building for arts, civic and private events. The DAC is a tax exempt IRS 501 (3) (c) non-profit corporation.
