I am a self taught jewelry artist. I have been making stained glass since 1984, and have always enjoyed creating beauty with my hands. So, when a friend introduced me to the world of handcrafted jewelry…. a new passion was born! The hunt for unique, exotic and unusual stones and beads, and turning them into beautiful creations, is very exciting for me. My goal is to create unique, functional art … and some “just for fun”.
I’m thrilled to be able to forge common copper wire into jewelry. I am especially drawn to stones, such as agate, jasper & turquoise, and wrap many of them with copper wire. You will see the marriage of glass, stones, beads and wire in many of my pieces from jewelry, to fused stained glass, copper wrapped & bead embellished stars, flowers, crosses & more ~ to jewelry boxes adorned with cabochons, beads & wire. I am constantly creating and coming up with new, fresh, and unique ideas.
I am blessed to live in Dahlonega, Georgia, nestled in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains. My work is inspired by the very woods I live in.… filled with blues, greens and browns, with the natural feel of wood, leather, copper, ceramic beads, stones and rocks.
