The Dahlonega Arts Council is a 501 (c)3 non profit charitable organization. What DAC Does

Dahlonega Arts Council, Inc. is a non-profit, 501(C)3 organization incorporated in 1999 to administer any and all Federal, State, and Local funds for the arts programs. Our home is the Olde Cannery Arts Center.

The DAC is dedicated to educating the public to the diverse aspects and forms of art through classes, workshops, presentations, art exhibitions, concerts, festivals, studio tours, monthly public art forums, community projects, and our bimonthly newsletter.
Mission Statement
The Dahlonega Arts Council's (DAC) mission is to create and nurture an environment supportive of the arts through education to benefit the residents of Lumpkin County.

How You Can Help

The Arts Council is spearheading the ongoing restoration of what was known as the Olde Cannery Arts Center, which is located at 61 Enota St. Dahlonega, Georgia, next to the Old Jail.

Originally constructed by the WPC in the 1940's, the building was first used as a community cannery, then as a Thrift Store. In 2003 the Dahlonega Arts Council took responsibility for the structure.

There is yet more to be done to complete the transformation into the Olde Cannery Arts Center, a multi-purpose home of the arts, a community arts center, and event venue for private rental - contact us to learn how you can help, with a donation of cash, materials or labor!

All contributions are tax-deductible.

The DAC exists to foster and promote the arts in Dahlonega/Lumpkin County. We have been named as the official arts council by both local governments.
Restoration of the Olde Cannery Arts Center facility and rentals of the building for arts, civic and private events. The DAC is a tax exempt IRS 501 (3) C non- profit corporation.
